RPG Maker XP

RMXP

When a russian programmer translated the first RPG Maker 95 program and released it online, no one knew that it would spark so much interest. At that time, the RPG Maker series had been one of the most sophisticated game development software programs ever released for amateur use. It did not get as much attention as it could have, because the program developers failed to release the software outside of Japan.

That all changed with on the fourth attempt after many fans asked Enterbrain to create a legal translation, and after Enterbrain started taking more notice of illegally released translations. RPG Maker XP, the fourth in the series, was a massive enhancement compared to any previous versions. It included more features, a scripting language interface, updated graphics, and more. RMXP came after RPG Maker 2003, but before RPG Maker VX.
